Terms of use
Last updated 1 October 2026
These terms cover the DispatchMe website and the DispatchMe, DispatchMe Driver and DispatchMe Office apps. By using any of them you agree to these terms. DispatchMe is operated by its founder, trading as DispatchMe while the operating company is being registered (the company's name, number and registered office will be shown here as soon as registration completes) (“DispatchMe”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@dispatchme.co.uk.
What DispatchMe is
DispatchMe is software that taxi and private hire offices use to take bookings, dispatch jobs to their drivers and keep their records. We do not provide rides. The office you book with provides your ride, sets its fares and is responsible for its drivers, vehicles and licence.
If you book rides
- Your booking is with the office. Its fares, waiting charges and cancellation rules apply, and it will show them before you confirm.
- You pay the office or its driver directly — in cash, on the driver's card machine, or on account if you have one. Questions about a fare go to the office first.
- Give accurate pickup details and a phone number the driver can reach.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile, then Delete account.
If you drive
- Your account is opened by the office you drive for, and your use of it is also governed by your arrangement with that office.
- You are responsible for holding a valid licence, insurance and badge, and for keeping your documents up to date.
- Only use the app when it is safe and lawful to do so. Do not handle your phone while driving.
- While you are online, your location is shared with your office, as the privacy policy explains.
If you run an office
- You pay the fees agreed when you signed up or shown on our pricing page. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any change.
- You are responsible for your operator's licence, for the drivers and vehicles you dispatch, and for complying with the licensing rules that apply to you. DispatchMe's compliance tools help, but they do not replace your own checks.
- For the passenger and driver data you manage in DispatchMe, you are the controller and we process it on your instructions.
- Either of us can end the service with 30 days' written notice. After it ends we keep your data for 30 days so you can export it, then delete it, except records the law requires to be kept for longer.
Using DispatchMe properly
- Do not use DispatchMe for anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to send false bookings.
- Do not try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or disrupt the service.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has them.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Availability and liability
We work to keep DispatchMe running and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
For businesses using DispatchMe, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms and will post changes here, with notice to offices for anything significant. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions go to support@dispatchme.co.uk.
