Driver app

A driver app with one obvious button at every step.

The DispatchMe driver app gets jobs to your drivers and gets them through each one. A job arrives with a countdown, the driver accepts or declines, and their own maps app takes them to the pickup.

Earnings, documents, messages and an SOS control sit one tap away. Android drivers install it from our website today.

How a job works on the driver's phone.

The same order every time, with one button for the next step and nothing else in the way.

  1. 1

    The offer lands

A full-screen card: when, where, the fare and how the passenger pays, passengers, bags, any needs such as a child seat, and how far away the pickup is. A countdown shows how long is left to answer.
  2. 2

    Accept, then navigate

Accept puts the job on their list. Navigate hands the pickup to Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze. A pre-booked job is accepted now and comes up again when it's time to leave.
  3. 3

    Arrive and wait

"I've arrived" starts the waiting meter, with your free minutes shown. If nobody comes out, "Passenger didn't show" tells the office.
  4. 4

    Start and complete

Slide to start the ride, then complete the trip. Waiting charges are added to the fare, and the job goes into their earnings.

Earnings the driver can check without ringing the office.

A week or month view of fares, tips, waiting charges, deductions and what's been paid out. It shows money the way your office runs it: either what the driver keeps, or the full fare with your share as weekly rent.

  • A running balance built from completed jobs
  • Ask to cash out early, with the fee shown before they ask; the office approves it
  • Earnings statements by week or month, as a spreadsheet file
  • A tax-year summary with HMRC mileage worked out, as a spreadsheet or PDF

Documents from the phone

Photograph a licence or certificate and upload it. DispatchMe reads the dates off it, and reminds the driver before anything runs out: 90 days ahead for the PHV licence, 30 days for the rest.

Destination mode with arrive-by

Heading home? The driver picks a place and the time they need to be there. They only get jobs that still get them there by then, with 5 minutes to spare, and jobs going their way rank higher.

SOS that can't go off in a pocket

Slide to alert the office. The office sees the driver's live location and current job at once. The driver can stand it down with "I'm safe now".

Messages with the office

The office thread is pinned at the top of the inbox, so instructions don't get lost among passenger messages.

More than one office

One login, a profile at each office. A switch per office to go online, offers labelled with the office's name, earnings and messages kept per office. Upload documents once and choose which offices get a copy.

Built for the phone in the cradle

Offer alerts with their own sound, a rising tone going on duty and a falling one going off, and location in the background so dispatch knows where they are.

Getting the app

Android drivers install DispatchMe Driver from our download page. The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store. Drivers sign in with the first sign-in the office gives them, and can reset their own password by email.

Questions offices ask

Does the driver app have its own map?

No, on purpose. Navigate opens the job in the driver's own maps app: Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze, whichever they choose. Drivers already know their maps app, and it keeps the driver app quick and simple.

Which phones does it run on?

Android today, as an app you install from our download page. The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store.

Can drivers see the office's commission?

That's your choice, per office. Either drivers see the fare after your cut and never see the rate, or they see the full fare with your share charged as rent once a week.

What happens when a driver presses SOS?

They slide to alert the office. The office gets a red banner on every screen and a push to office phones, with the driver's live location and current job. DispatchMe doesn't call the emergency services; the safety toolkit has a Call 999 panel showing the driver's nearest address.

Can a driver go online with an expired licence?

No. A driver can only go online once the office has approved them and every required document is reviewed and in date.
