Delete your account and data
Last updated 1 October 2026
This page covers the DispatchMe apps — DispatchMe (for passengers), DispatchMe Driver and DispatchMe Office — published by DispatchMe, and the website at dispatchme.co.uk.
Passengers: delete your account in the app
You can do this yourself, in seconds, and it takes effect immediately:
- Open the DispatchMe app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete my account, then confirm.
You are signed out of every device straight away and your details are erased from the office’s records.
Drivers and office staff: ask us or your office
Driver and office accounts are created by the taxi office you work with, not in the app, so deletion goes through them or through us. Either:
- Ask your office to remove your account, or
- Email support@dispatchme.co.uk from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my account.
We reply within 5 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may ask one question to confirm it is really you before we delete anything.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number and password.
- Saved places and addresses, and your notification tokens.
- For drivers: licence and badge numbers, uploaded documents, vehicle details and bank details for payouts.
- Your messages with the office, and your ratings and feedback.
- Every signed-in session, on every device.
What we have to keep, and for how long
A completed journey is a business record for the taxi office, and some of it is required by law, so the trip itself is kept without you attached to it:
- Bookings and journeys stay on the office’s records with your name and contact details removed. Offices keep these for up to 6 years.
- Payment and invoice records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax law (HMRC).
- Safety and complaint records — for example an incident during a journey — are kept as long as the office or its licensing council needs them.
- Security logs are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
